If you're new to St. Paul’s Lutheran or are considering joining us for worship,

our doors are wide open to people of all backgrounds.

We are a family of faith sharing the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions before or after service, feel free to call upon Pastor DJ Lura

or the members of St. Paul’s to help you.  You'll find people there eager to help in any way they can.

Children are welcome and encouraged to attend worship and are invited to come forward for the Children’s Message.

In addition, we offer Children's Church for 2nd graders and under during Sunday worship.

We hope that you will return and worship with us often,

and join us in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  (Matthew 28:19 NIV)

holy week

Holy Week begins as we celebrate Palm Sunday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m.  Everyone will gather in front of the church and process in with palms, weather permitting.  We will remember Jesus' triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, as he was heralded Lord of Lords and King of Kings.  This service will prepare us for Holy Week as we walk with Christ to the Cross of Calvary and realize His dying in our place.

In addition to the Palm Sunday service on March 25, there are also other worship opportunities during Holy Week.  On Maundy Thursday, March 29, we will be having special services at 11:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.  This service reminds us of the example that Jesus gave his disciples – to serve and love each other as he served them.  Most of all, we celebrate Maundy Thursday by remembering and sharing the liturgy of the upper room with Holy Communion.  At our 6:30 p.m. service our first time communicants will celebrate Holy Communion and at the conclusion of the evening service, the chancel is stripped reminding us of the New Covenant that God made with his people in the bloody sacrifice and death of his Son our Lord, Jesus Christ, at Calvary.

On Good Friday, March 30, we will be having special services at 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  This service reminds us of the passion of Holy Week, as we walk with Christ to his sacrificial death on the cross.  Through Christ's death, our sins are forgiven and Jesus conquered death.

At the 8:00 p.m. service, a Good Friday drama, “The Cross of Christ,” will be presented.

good Friday drama

the cross of christ

The purpose of the Good Friday Drama is to provide a way in which we might better understand the sacrifice Jesus Christ suffered through his death on the cross.  "The Cross of Christ" is based on Dr. C. Truman Davis’ “The Crucifixion: A Medical View.”  Davis is a medical doctor whose insight into the crucifixion story allows us to understand how real Jesus’ pain was.  Often we can move too quickly beyond Good Friday to get to Easter Sunday.  The Good Friday Drama will give us an opportunity to slow down and reflect on all that Jesus has done for us.

easter egg hunt

The Sunday School is sponsoring our annual Easter Egg Hunt for Nursery – 12th grade.  The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 31, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

All Nursery - 12th graders are asked to please bring a basket for the Easter Egg Hunt.  Plastic eggs and prizes will be provided for the hunt.

Your friends and family are invited to participate in this year's Easter Egg Hunt.  Refreshments will be provided.

The Easter Season begins on Easter Sunday and ends on Pentecost.  Focusing on Christ's  resurrection, ascension, and the sending of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost), Easter is the most joyous and celebrative season of the Christian year.  We celebrate the good news that in Christ’s death and resurrection we, and all creation, are continually being made new by God’s love and saving grace.
